This site (madewithbill.com) is the personal portfolio of Bill Utaegbulam, a freelance web developer based in Irvine, California. I take a privacy-first approach: this site uses no tracking cookies, no advertising, and collects as little data as possible. This page explains what is collected and why.

Analytics

I use Google Analytics 4 to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used — which pages are visited and roughly where visitors come from. It runs in a cookieless mode (Google Consent Mode with storage denied by default), which means:

  • No cookies are stored on your device.
  • No persistent identifier is assigned to you, and your activity is not tracked across sessions or other websites.
  • Only anonymous, aggregated signals are collected — such as the page URL, approximate location (country/region), device type, and browser — along with your IP address and user-agent, which are sent to Google for processing and not stored by this site.

Because no cookies or cross-site tracking are involved, this site does not display a cookie consent banner.

Direct correspondence

This site has no contact form. If you choose to email me directly, I receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. I use that information only to respond to you and discuss potential work. I don't add you to any mailing list or share it with anyone.

Third-party services

Analytics data is processed by Google. You can review Google's practices in their Privacy Policy, and you can opt out of Google Analytics entirely using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR in the EU/UK or the CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of personal data relating to you. Since this site stores no personal data itself, the most direct way to exercise these rights is the opt-out add-on above. For anything I hold from direct correspondence, email me and I'll take care of it.

I may update this policy as the site evolves. Any changes will be posted here with a revised "Last updated" date.
